The device has a displacing groove (8) fixed to a metallic shell (2) of a door (1) and completely mounted inside the shell. The groove includes a longitudinal rack (13) with notches co-operating with teeth of a drive pinion (14) fixed on an axle (15) of an induction motor (16) carried by a glass (5), such that control of the induction motor causes lifting or lowering of the glass by displacement of the drive pinion on the rack, where the motor functions at a voltage less than 12 volts.
