The device has a fixation unit connecting an end of two main landing gears (2) on a peripheral fuselage structure (7) of an aircraft (1), where the structure permits direct retrieval of forces from the gears. A gear housing is formed in the fuselage structure of the aircraft, and receives the gears. A deployment unit permits to move the gears between a storage position where the gears enter the housing, and a deployment position where the gears are released from the housing such that wheels (10) of the gears are placed under a low wing (4) of the aircraft.
