The assembly has a coating blank (3), made of coating material such as wood, integrated to an upper face of an elastically deformable layer (2) made of material such as flexible foam, for partially covering the layer while leaving a zone (4) of the layer uncovered. A joinery element (5) covers a portion of the uncovered zone, and covers a fraction of a periphery (6) of the blank while keeping a central part (7) of the blank disengaged. The blank presents a developable nonplane geometry.
