The device has a frame (4) fitted with an attachment unit for transporting the device by helicopter. The frame has a storage area for bottles containing an explosive mixture of gases e.g. oxygen or hydrogen. A cylinder holds balloons (9) which comprise inflation sleeves. A conveying unit is constituted of pipes (13), a mixer (14) and the bottles, and conveys the explosive mixture to the sleeves. The cylinder is mounted on the frame to successively bring the inflation sleeves to an injection nozzle (12) and to an explosive mixture ignition unit.
