The method involves covering an electronic marking unit (1) with hardened material (2) such as polyester, before integrating the marking unit in a product (7) to be marked, where the material is integrated to films (3, 4) which are made of glass fiber, carbon fiber or Kevlar fiber. The marking unit is set in contact with an agent (6) e.g. catalyst of the coating material, triggering the hardening of the coating material of the unit. The agent is positioned on the product for obtaining an anti-rejection connection between the unit and the product during hardening of the material.
