The swimming pool has modular floating elements (2) in the form of hollow floating cubes and made of a polyethylene type polymer. The elements (2) have upper emerged parts (34) to constitute beaches (30-33) of the pool. The elements (2) define the circumference of a rectangular basin (35) filled with water. The basin has a pocket (47) that defines vertical walls (47a) and a bottom (47b). The pocket defining an enclosed space is fixed to the modular elements by using a locking unit.
