The device has cylindrical rims (70) at upstream ends of ring sectors (20) and engaged on a casing rail (50). Each cylindrical rim comprises an annular collar (72) extending radially outward and axially clamped on the casing rail using an annular locking unit (80), which is axially engaged on the casing rail and on the rims of the ring sectors. The locking unit exerts axial force directed, in a downstream direction, toward the annular collars during functioning of a turbomachine. An independent claim is also included for a ring sector for a turbine of a turbomachine.
