The device has a marking unit (3) integrated to a frame (2) and adapted to form a marking in a predefined zone of a marking window (24). The unit marks a surface of the instrument by micro-percussion, and a control unit (15) controls the marking unit. An instrument maintaining unit (4), which is integrated to the frame, maintains an instrument to be marked in relation with the window. A visualization unit (5) is adapted to allow a visualization of a part of the instrument disposed in relation with the window and to simulate the position of the zone on a part of the visualized instrument.
