The bearing (1) has a detection assembly (3) with a connector (12) whose rear face is in contact with a face of a sensor block (11). A printed circuit board (13) is in contact with another face of the block. Spindles (20) of the connector pass through orifices arranged in the circuit board and the block between the faces of the block. Welding spots (21) ensure axial connection between the connector and the board by maintaining the connector, the block and the board in axial contact. The block has an external diameter that is lower than the diameter of a side face of an external bush (4). An independent claim is also included for a method of mounting an instrumented roller bearing.
