The rod has a clamping slit for clamping a raised ceiling canvas (2), where the rod is made in the form of a profile (1). The slit is inserted between a wall plate and an intermediate wall which are locked elastically one against another by terminal parts. The parts are opposite to each other for closing the slit and for retaining the canvas inserted in the slit by a clamping effect. The slit is inclined with respect to the wall plate on a partition limiting a space to be occupied by the canvas.
