The system has a flame holder ring (34) formed of ring sectors arranged end-to-end, and each sector has a fuel supply ramp. Opposed ends of the sectors are separated from each other by a circumferential clearance, where the clearance at rest is larger than maximal tangential thermal expansion of the sectors in operation. Flame holder arms (20) integrated to a cylindrical external case (12) carry the sectors and oppose a radial thermal expansion of the sectors such that the ring preserves a constant diameter in operation, where the case carries and guides a spark plug.
