Composition for preparing heat insulation and fire protection materials comprises: a cement such as calcium aluminate cement or molten cement; a first insulating filler having a porosity =80%, a melting point of =1100[deg]C and a thermal conductivity of =0.1 Watts by meter-Kelvin, such as perlite; and at least a fibrous filler such as wollastonite fibers, quartz fibers, fibers of basalt or pure silica fibers, where the composition further comprises a second insulating filler presenting a melting point =1200[deg]C, such as ceramic hollow microspheres. Independent claims are included for: (1) preparing the heat insulation and fire protection material comprising adding water to the composition for the hydraulic retention of composition and mixing to obtain a homogeneous paste and molding the obtained homogeneous paste; and (2) the heat insulation and protection material obtained by the process.
