An Automotive test lead 1 that is attached to a disconnected vehicle's wire loom male terminals by means of the corresponding test lead's female terminals 2 and the vehicle's female terminals by the corresponding test lead's male terminals 3. The electrical signals are then analysed by connecting an oscilloscope (or other diagnostic equipment) to the shrouded sockets 4. Different terminals 2, 3 allow for connection to different wires in the loom.
