PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gaming machine with new entertainment properties. PSOLUTION: The gaming machine has a controller which executes the following processes. A mini game is executed on condition that the game is shifted to a free game (S300), and whether the number of accumulated points should be updated or not is determined according to received option data when the option data are received from a first input device whenever the mini game is executed (S400). If it is determined that the number should be updated, the number of accumulated points is updated by adding the number of points corresponding to the received option data to the number of accumulated points (S500). The number of times of extension games to extend the free game is determined according to the number of accumulated points updated after executing the prescribed number of times of the mini games (S600), and the free game is extended and executed by the determined number of times of extension games (S700).
