PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus suppressing consumption of ozone and efficiently reducing the volume of surplus sludge.;SOLUTION: The surplus sludge solubilization apparatus in an organic wastewater treatment system including a surplus sludge storage tank comprises a measuring and adding means of surplus sludge, an ozone treatment tank 1 having an ozone generating means for treating the surplus sludge, a circulation tank 2 connected to the ozone treatment tank 1 to circulate the surplus sludge, and a de-ozonization tank 3 connected to the circulation tank. The ozone treatment tank 1 comprises multiple treatment tanks formed by liquid-tightly partitioning the sealed tank body in the vertical direction. The first treatment tank has an ozone introducing means, a sludge introducing means from the sludge storage tank and circulation tank, and a communication pipe for transferring sludge to be ozone-treated to the next treatment tank, the last treatment tank has a communication pipe for introducing sludge from the preceding treatment tank, and a carrying out pipe carrying out sludge to the circulation tank, and intermediate tanks have communication pipes for introducing sludge from the preceding treatment tank, and communication pipes for transferring sludge to the subsequent treatment tank.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
