PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and quickly switch color images and monochromatic images, using a fluorescence microscope.;SOLUTION: The fluorescence microscope includes an observation mode switching means 21 capable of switching between a fluorescence observation mode for observing the monochromatic image by a fluorescence imaging part 22 by switching off or intercepting transmission illumination light from a transmission light source 36, inserting a filter part on an optical path, being switched to transmission light with a color filter 32, and radiating epi-illumination illumination light from an epi-illumination light source 48, and a bright field observation mode for acquiring a bright field image with a bright field imaging part 25 while synthesizing R, G and B images imaged by the fluorescence imaging part 22 by radiating the transmission illumination light from one transmission light source 36, switching off or intercepting the epi-illumination light source 48, retreating the filter part from the optical path, and successively switching R, G and B filter light; and an observation condition setting means 23 for automatically setting an imaging condition corresponding to a selected observation mode in accordance with an observation mode switched by the observation mode switching means 21.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
