PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a rod-like zinc oxide whose coagulation is sufficiently prevented and whose uniformity on diameter and length is sufficiently high and where the rod-like zinc oxide can be efficiently obtained and to provide the rod-like zinc oxide obtained by the method.;SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the rod-like zinc oxide coated with alumina or alumina sol by depositing zinc oxide under the coexisting of the alumina sol in a basic solution containing a zinc-containing compound and a dispersion medium while keeping at 0-200°C is provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
