PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound specifically binding to a zinc ion and having sufficiently high fluorescent intensity, fluorescence spectrum of which is shifted to the extent sufficient to enable a ratio measurement.;SOLUTION: A coumarine derivative represented by formula (I) and a salt thereof are disclosed.
