PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily provide a device for measuring length around the outer circumference or the cross section area of an object at high precision.;SOLUTION: The device 10 for measuring the length around the outer circumference has: a frame 12 for arranging the object 18 to be measured in the inside; and an optical distance sensor 14 for measuring a distance between a plurality of known positions and a plurality of points to be measured on the outer circumference of the object 18 to be measured in a non-contact type by being attached to the frame 12. A central processing unit of the device 10 for measuring the length around the outer circumference calculates each coordinate of the points to be measured on the basis of the known positions and distances measured with the optical distance sensor, determines the distances between the points to be measured on the basis of each coordinate of the points to be measured, and totals the distances between the points to be measured.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
