PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly capture a satellite signal, even if satellite search reference frequency fluctuates, by frequency fluctuation in a SPS clock source caused by temperature elevation or the like, in an SPS receiver.;SOLUTION: A reference clock signal is counted using a clock signal from the SPS clock source, when searching the whole search frequency range of the positioning satellite signal in each divided frequency range, using the clock signal from the SPS clock source and the reference clock signal; the first correction information is calculated, based on a count value of the reference clock signal from a frequency comparison means in every search within the whole search frequency range; the second correction information is calculated based on the count value of the reference clock signal from the frequency comparison means in every search in divided frequency range units; and a search frequency is corrected based on the first correction information and the second correction information to search the positioning satellite signal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
