PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely emend a manuscript by voice, even if it includes letters of categories other than a Kanji character. PSOLUTION: The manuscript proofread system for proofreading the manuscript composed of the plurality of categories of letters by outputting it by voice, comprises: a dictionary file 301 in which the category, and, in case the category is the kanji characters, Chinese reading and Japanese reading are stored by relating to each other; and a voice text generating means 231 in which the category together with Chinese reading and Japanese reading, in case the category is the Kanji character, is output by voice, when the manuscript is output by voice.
