PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for coating and drying a coating film and an apparatus for coating and drying the film, by which an ultraviolet curable resin coated on a substrate surface can be efficiently cured and dried, so that a solvent remaining within the coating film can be eliminated as far as possible.;SOLUTION: The method for coating and drying a coating film comprises the steps of coating the surface of a substrate 5 with the ultraviolet curable resin that has been diluted in water or a solvent, so as to form an ultraviolet curable resin layer 4 on the surface and curing and drying the ultraviolet curable resin layer 4, wherein the curing and drying step involves irradiating ultraviolet rays from an ultraviolet lamp 1 simultaneously with irradiation of high-frequency waves from a high-frequency irradiating apparatus 6.
