PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mixing device and a mixing method capable of efficiently mixing liquid and powder, and further, to provide a metal recovery system and a metal recovery method where, liquid and powder comprising metallic elements are securely mixed, thus the substitute precipitation of the metallic elements can be efficiently performed. PSOLUTION: The mixing device comprises: a liquid feeding section 3 where a liquid L is made to flow down while being rotated, so as to be an eddy shape; a powder feeding section 4 where powder P is fed to the liquid L made to flow down in the liquid feeding section 3; and a liquid storing section 5 where the liquid L fed from the liquid feeding section 3 is stored. The liquid feeding section 3 is provided with a funnel-shaped face 11a formed in such a manner that the inside diameter is made small as it goes to the lower part, and the powder P is fed toward the inside of the funnel-shaped face 11a. The circumference of the upper edge part 11b of the funnel-shaped face 11a is provided with a liquid passage way 12 allowing the liquid L to pass through along the upper edge part 11b.
