METHOD FOR CARRYING OUT STITCH-LAYING TREATMENT OF END OF KNITTED FABRIC AND KNITTED FABRIC IN WHICH STITCH-LAYING TREATMENT IS CARRIED OUT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stitch-laying treatment method in which stitch-laying loops do not appear on the surface side of a knitted fabric and stitch-laying treatment part has good stretchability.;SOLUTION: The method for carrying out stitch-laying treatment of end of a knitted fabric comprises repeating the following steps (a), (b) and (c) in this order when forming stitch-laying loop from one end side in knitting width direction to other end side in final course of the knitted fabric. The step (a) keeps a stitch-laying loop already formed on one end side in knitting width direction and fastened on a needle bed in a state moved to other end side of knitting width direction than adjacent final course two stitches superposed next. The step (b) forms an intermediate loop following to superposed stitch obtained by superposing the adjacent two stitches in the final course while keeping the stitch-laying loop in a state of the step (a). The step (c) forms the subsequent stitch-laying loop following to superposed stitch obtained by superposing the stitch-laying loop kept in a state of the step (a) on the intermediate loop formed in the step (b).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
