PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a good quality soil for preserving environment and growing plants by using only recycled materials, and also by using the soil for preserving the environment, a method for gardening the flower bed for preserving the environment without stretching the roots of weeds, and making the weeding/cleaning of the flower bed markedly easy as compared with conventional methods. PSOLUTION: This soil for preserving the environment is produced by mixing coal ash, completely matured wood chips and completely matured compost any and all of which is an industrial waste material. Also, the method for gardening the flower bed 1 for preserving the environment comprises a step of preparing the above soil for preserving the environment, a step of covering the bottom surface and side surfaces of the flower bed with sheets and a step of piling the soil for preserving the environment on the sheets.
