PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extensible type dust preventing cover which can avoid the generation of the damage in the guide surfaces of a linear guide portion and the screws, the teeth of a rack, etc. of the feed mechanism of the movable carriage to be caused by the air sucking phenomenon into the dust preventing cover, even when the feed speed is increased.;SOLUTION: A column base (movable carriage) 14 is provided with ventilation passages (ventilating holes 51, 52, ventilating ducts 53, 54) for communicating the inside spaces 35, 45 of the dust preventing covers 31, 41 arranged on both sides of the column base 14.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
