PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for accurately performing a fracture mechanics test at a high temperature using a small-sized test piece sampled from a mounting machine, and a test object therefor.;SOLUTION: In a crack developing test, restriction members 14, each of which has creep strength high than that of a metal piece 12 at a predetermined temperature and has hardness higher than that of the metal piece 12 at the predetermined temperature, are welded to both sides of the test piece 12b processed from the metal piece 12 through fillers 16, each of which contains boron, at least one metal element which constitutes the metal piece 12 and at least one metal element which constitutes the restriction members 14, to form the test object 10. a pre-crack 20 is introduced into the test piece 12b in the test object 10 and load is applied to the test object 10 through the restriction members 14 in a state that the test object 10 is heated to a high temperature of 600-700°C.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
