PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grounding electrode capable of preventing a lightning damage due to lightning surge current by lowering further than a conventional one a grounding impedance of such as a building and various facility which is an object of lightning damage prevention.;SOLUTION: The grounding electrode 1 which flows lightning surge current I due to ground discharge 7 is constructed of a steel pipe 33 of which at least a part is embedded in the ground 15, a conductor 34 which is coaxially arranged in the steel pipe 33, and a filling material 40 which is filled between the steel pipe 33 and the conductor 34 and has conductivity. Thereby, the lightning surge current I flowing in the ground electrode 1 is shunted and its low frequency component I_L flows in the conductor 34, and its high frequency component I_H is made to flow in the steel pipe 33 and the filling material outside of the conductor 34.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
