PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set an optimal slew rate without depending upon compatibility with a host device in a storage device in the case of executing data read or write from/to a storage medium on the basis of a control signal exchanged between the storage device such as a disk drive and the host device.;SOLUTION: When an error occurs in data read or write, the number of retry times performed during the occurrence of the error is calculated, the slew rate of an interface signal is changed to execute a retry on the basis of the calculated number of times, and a slew rate when a retry is successful is set as a slew rate of an interface signal to be hereafter exchanged.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
