PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor, an application software management method, and an application software management capable of reflecting conditions for erasure of application software intended by a user and achieving efficient memory control. PSOLUTION: A multifunction image forming apparatus has a memory storage area for storing application software to perform multifunctions, an established priority order for the application software, and a threshold for the usage count of the application software. In addition, the apparatus comprises a frequency check means (S12) and a priority check means (S13). The frequency check means (S12) judges existence of application software corresponding to the multifunctions whose operating frequency in a predetermined period is below the threshold for the usage count. The priority check means (S13) extracts application software information for the application software whose operating frequency is below the threshold and priority is below a threshold of priority.
