PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torsion-detecting sleeve and a torque sensor capable of changing a torque detection range relative to an acting torque. PSOLUTION: This torque-detecting sleeve member 40 is a cylindrical member that has first and second cylindrical torque-acting parts 50a, 50b, a torsion signal generator 52 and a torsion converter 54. Torque acts on the torque-acting parts in at least two points. A torsion signal generator is disposed at least on a part of an external peripheral surface between the torque-acting parts. The torsion converter is disposed between at least one of the torque-acting parts and the torsion signal generator, for converting torsion transmitted from the torque-acting part to the torsion signal generator.
