PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer electrolyte material which can attain a high energy density and durability for a long period of time, and provide a polymer electrolyte molded unit, a membrane electrode composite and a solid polymer fuel cell using the same. PSOLUTION: The polymer electrolyte material contains an aromatic family polyether group copolymer containing an ion base which can be obtained from an aromatic family dihalide compound and a bivalent bisphenol compound, and a mol fraction ratio of the aromatic family dihalide compound content is 5 mol% or higher and 45 mol% or lower, and moreover, a mol fraction ratio of the bivalent bisphenol compound content is 5 mol% or higher and 45 mol% or lower. Further, the polymer electrolyte molded unit, the membrane electrode composite and the solid polymer fuel cell are composed of or manufactured by using the polymer electrolyte materials.
