PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calculation device, a calculation program and a calculation method for a state value of a surface to be measured, capable of calculating the state value, that expresses a state related to the quality of print as to the surface to be measured, of the surface to be measured, and a classifier, a classification program and a classification method for a medium to be printed, capable of classifying the media to be printed.;SOLUTION: This classifier 100 includes a surface-to-be-measured image data generating part 10 for receiving a regular reflection light beam of a light beam getting incident into the surface to be measured to generate an image data of the surface to be measured, a surface-to-be-measured state value calculating part 12 for calculating the state value, expressing the state of the surface to be measured, of the surface to be measured, a prediction part 13 for predicting the state of the surface to be measured, based on the state value of the surface to be measured, and a classifying part 14 for classifying print paper sheets, based on a predicted value therein.
