PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a substrate identification code issuance processing method and system, capable of issuing a substrate identification code while preventing duplication with substrate identification codes issued in the past.;SOLUTION: When a unique substrate identification code is printed on a glass substrate 1 by a printer 2, whether a substrate identification code to be issued which is formed by a substrate identification code issuing device 4 is duplicated with issued substrate identification codes registered in an information storage medium 3 is discriminated, whereby duplication of the substrate identification code to be issued with the issued substrate identification codes can be surely prevented.
