PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent excessive order/under order of items used in a ward and to efficiently prevent order omission. PSOLUTION: The item order device comprises a patient information acquisition section 401 for acquiring patient information including an operation method of a postoperative patient and lapsed days and storing it in a patient information database 402, an item information specifying section 403 for referring to a required order item master 130 in which information related to the items required for the postoperative patient and the quantity of the items is registered correspondingly to the operation method and the lapsed days based on the patient information, and specifying the order items and the quantity of the order items, an item information registration section 404 for storing the item information related to the order items and the quantity of the order items in an order item information database 405 and displaying it on the order screen of a display section 406, an order command receiving section 408 for receiving an order command to a predetermined order destination corresponding to the item information displayed on the order screen and stored in the order item information database 405, and an order processing execution section 409 for executing the order processing to a predetermined order destination according to the order destination.
