GENERATION DEVICE FOR SUPERRESOLUTION IMAGE

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a superresolution image generation device capable of automatically providing a superresolution image having no unevenness and maximum scale factor by using the monitor of a personal computer to make presence of unevenness be efficiently perceived or even without displaying the unevenness on the monitor of the personal computer in advance. PSOLUTION: The superresolution image generation device comprises: a superresolution forming part for receiving a first image having a first resolution, using the first image and generating a second image having a second resolution higher than the first resolution; a sharpness calculating part for receiving the second image generated by the superresolution forming part and calculating the sharpness of each partial area in the second image; a sharpness image generating part for receiving the sharpness of each partial area calculated by the sharpness calculating part and generating a third image having in each partial area what is converted into a value for displaying sharpness as an image; and a compositing part for receiving the first image and the third image, combining the first image with the third image and generating a fourth image.
