PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring jig and a measuring method, by which measuring jig and measuring method, a tilting angle given to a wire electrode can be easily and surely measured in order to improve the accuracy of taper machining in wire electric discharge machining.;SOLUTION: A measuring stand is a rectangular conductive object capable of being horizontally set on an XY table, and is shifted in the horizontal direction perpendicular to one side end surface, and has a pair of feelers elongating perpendicular to a side end surface with different lengths. A vertical wire electrode and a tilted wire electrode tilted by a required angle are brought into contact with a pair of the feelers respectively four times in order from one reference position located outside the portion between a pair of the feelers. The detected coordinates of both electrodes are stored.
