SPLICING BOX FOR OPGW AND METHOD OF SPLICING OPGW

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a splicing box for OPGW in which an existing OPGW optical fiber is spliced with the optical fiber of an external optical cable at an arbitrary position.;SOLUTION: A case main body 2 has: a through-hole 22 through which a supporting wire 120 is penetrated which splices the end parts of the cut OPGW 100 leaving an extra length at the end parts; an OPGW introducing hole 23 for introducing the end parts of the OPGW 100; and an optical cable introducing hole 24 for introducing the optical cable 110. A supporting wire clamping metallic tool 3 for clamping the supporting wire 120, an OPGW clamping tool 4 for clamping the end part of the OPGW 100, an optical cable clamping tool 5 for clamping the optical cable 110, and a container tray 7 for containing the optical fiber are provided in the case main body 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
