A sound level at an evaluation point in the calculation model is calculated by a sound evaluating means 5, and when this sound level is a desired value or more, a structure-sound coupling characteristic evaluating index calculating means 7 calculates the index of evaluating the structure-sound coupling characteristic. Sensitivity to the index of evaluating this structure-sound coupling characteristic is calculated by a sensitivity calculation means 7, and a structure optimizing means 8 changes the structure of the vehicle body being the design object based on its sensitivity.
