PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating mechanism of a material having low thermal conductivity as a flying height control mechanism of a head slider of a magnetic recording and playback device, and to provide a mechanism controlling heating of a thin film coil of a recording element part of a magnetic head mounted on the head slider and flying height in consideration of uncertain variation of flying height due to change of environment temperature. PSOLUTION: The light emitting element is arranged at the head slider, the light absorbing element is arranged at a position at which light energy is absorbed, further a piezoelectric element is arranged at a position at which expansion of the light absorbing element is sensed. Where, the light emitting element emits light for the light absorbing element, the light absorbing element reduces flying height of the head slider by expansion by light absorbing effect. At the time, flying height is controlled by quantifying expansion of the light absorbing element by the piezoelectric element arranged adjacent to the light absorbing element.
