PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a redundancy switching system, in a transmission system, which can continue to establish a redundant configuration without instantaneous interruption by a simple arrangement and control, and a redundancy switching method.;SOLUTION: A redundancy switching system 100 has a first path 10-1 transmitting a first signal, and a second path 10-2 which can perform a switchover without instantaneous interruption to the first path 10-1 and which transmits a second signal having information same as that of the first signal. When a fault has occurred in the first path 10-1, it is switched over to the second path 10-2 without instantaneous interruption, and a third path 10-3 is prepared which can perform a switchover for the second path 10-2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
