PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a serial communication apparatus test device for specifying which circuit out of a plurality of circuits in a serial communication card for performing transmitting/receiving processing of a serial communication apparatus generates a trouble and to provide a method for testing the serial communication apparatus.;SOLUTION: The serial communication card is configured so that respective circuits composing the serial communication card included in the serial communication apparatus individually store data just before and just after performing processing in respective circuits in a memory and individually read out the stored data by a read command from the serial communication apparatus test device. A CPU included in the serial communication apparatus test device reads out respective stored data from the serial communication apparatus and successively compares the read data to specify a trouble portion.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
