PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recycled PET fake bamboo which employs recycled PET bottles and has excellent heat and impact resistances. PSOLUTION: A method of producing a recycled PET fake bamboo uses a recycled PET resin formed by mixing 70 wt.% of a pulverized product of PET bottles with 12 wt.% of a high-density polyethylene and 9 wt.% of a thickener to prevent drawing down and comprises extruding the recycled PET resin into a fake bamboo 1 in a form of a hollow pipe having a circular cross section, transferring the bamboo 1 on a roller by 1.5 m and cooling gradually to form a crystallized layer 11 inside the bamboo 1 and cooling the resultant body rapidly so that the bamboo 1 gets a laminate structure composed of an inner crystallized layer 11 and an outer amorphous layer 12. Having the laminate structure, the fake bamboo 1 has a high heat resistance which causes no deformation in a 110C-by-20-min heat resistance test under a load of 200 grams and a high impact resistance which achieves an impact resistance of 9.0-9.5 kJ/mSP2/SPin an Izod impact resistance test, realizing a recycled PET fake bamboo 1 having heat and impact resistances higher than those of fake bamboos made of ABS resins.
