PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine cooling mechanism of easy formation making accurate temperature control of a cylinder bore side easy.;SOLUTION: Since a flexible lip member 6 of a partition member 2 is made of elastomer, the same deforms in insertion to a water jacket 12. Consequently, whole body of the partition member 2 can be inserted in the water jacket 12 with guiding the same to a suitable position without receiving large resistant force from an outer circumference surface 14a of the cylinder bore part 14, and an internal combustion engine cooling mechanism can be easily formed. After completion of insertion, the flexible lip member 6 touch the outer circumference surface 14a of the cylinder bore part 14 at a tip edge part 6c thereof by own deformation restoring force, and independency of cooling water flow in a bore side channel 12a and an anti-bore side channel 12b can be sufficiently secured. Consequently, accurate temperature control of the cylinder bore 14b side can be done easily by controlling flow rate of cooling water in each of the channel 12a, 12b.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
