PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a modulator for the differentiation from adipocyte's precursor cell to adipocyte and/or the accumulation of adipose in adipocyte.;SOLUTION: The modulator is such that at least one of uridylic acid, uridine and uracil serves as an active ingredient. In the modulator, the modulation includes both of inhibition and promotion. In the case of the former, the accumulation of adipose is inhibited, presenting antiobese effect and also presenting prophylactic and/or curative effects of metabolic syndrome, hypertension, arteriosclerosis, etc.; while, in the case of the latter, the accumulation of adipose is promoted, enabling the production of, for example, marbled beef, i.e. beef with fine streaks of fat.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
