PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the toroidal type gearless transmission and the gearless transmission which is excellent in safety to deliver power between rotating members by an inexpensive constitution without restricting design and deteriorating durability.;SOLUTION: In this toroidal type gearless drive mechanism, a carrier 100 and a disc 2 are frictionally contacted with each other directly and power is transmitted by the frictional force between the carrier 100 and the disc 2. Thereby, it becomes unnecessary to process a gear and a claw to the disc or the carrier like before and a manufacturing cost can be reduced substantially by shortening a manufacturing process.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
