PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flooring material and internal wall material of a metallic sodium circulation and storage facility such as a secondary cooling system building of a fast breeder reactor, in which liquid metal sodium does not come into contact with the concrete floor even if it leaks by any cause. PSOLUTION: Diatomaceous earth is produced by petrifaction of vegetable plankton (alga), and the principal component is siliceous material (SiOSB2/SB) same as glass, and is super-porous material where infinite holes are drilled in a soil with an average particle diameter of 0.05 mm. The flooring material of the metallic sodium circulation and storage facility such as secondary cooling system building and the internal wall material of an emergency liquid metallic sodium exhaust passage and its storage tub are prepared using neutron shielding power, heat resistance, lightweight property, high water absorption property, low activation characteristic, or the like possessed by the diatomaceous earth. The internal wall material requires a certain degree of self-supporting strength, so that a binder of ductility, low moisture absorption, and high heat resistance, for example bentonite, must be selected, kneaded, and used.
