PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new technology for automatically determining what type of program component should be developed for the development of a system.;SOLUTION: This development program component determination device comprises: a means for inputting a retrieval request to designate a sentence described in system function specifications; a means for retrieving a sentence similar to the sentence designated by this time retrieval request by using the sentence set as the object of retrieval from among sentences designated by the retrieval request until this time as the object of retrieval; a means for presenting the list of retrieved similar sentences to retrieval request origin; a means for, when the presented similar sentence is selected, selecting to which similar sentence is the sentence designated by this time retrieval request the most similar according to the selection information; a means for, when any presented similar sentence is not selected, setting the sentence designated by this time retrieval request as the object of retrieval; and a means for determining what type of program component should be developed based on the number of times of selection of the selected similar sentence.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
