PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of easily and surely investigating the influence exerted upon power line communication by an electric device connected to a power line, and a noise measuring instrument therefor.;SOLUTION: A modulation signal generating section 4A generates a modulation signal under control of a control section 3, and a modulation signal transmitting section 4B transmits the modulation signal with predetermined output. A modulation signal receiving section 6B receives a power line communication signal superimposing a power line communication signal from the modulation signal transmitting section 4B and a signal (also including noise from power wiring connected to a power supply cable 1B and an outlet 2) passed through a coupling section 5. On the basis of an instruction of a personal computer 40, the control section 3 transmits a signal for measurement of predetermined output, acquires the status of a reception signal at that time from a modulation signal demodulating section 6A, and detects the status of noise passed through the coupling section 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
