PREVENTIVE AND THERAPEUTIC AGENT FOR GINGIVAL HYPERTROPHY USING BUPLEURUM ROOT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent for prevention and treatment of gingival hypertrophy induced by adverse effects of a medicine such as a calcium antagonist, an antiepileptic agent, an immunosuppressant etc.;SOLUTION: The new preventive and therapeutic agent for gingival hypertrophy comprises using Bupleurum root against gingival hypertrophy. A medicinal composition containing Bupleurum root is provided as the preventive and therapeutic agent for gingival hypertrophy. The toothpaste comprises Bupleurum root or the medicinal composition containing Bupleurum root as an effective means for preventing and treating gingival hypertrophy. Consequently, a patient of gingival hypertrophy suppresses and treats gingival hypertrophy only by using the toothpaste in the routine teeth brushing without changing an antiepileptic agent to a different kind of one.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
